This is a start! Just going on a photographers website is the first step. Take your time and shop around. Follow different photographers and see if you like their style and what they are like.
Ask if they have full galleries to view. Many photographers post full galleries on their website either in the portfolio page or blogs. Check for pricing on their website, it is really important to have a starting price to make sure you are in the right ballpark of what you would like to invest. It’s ok to have a different budget for an investment like Boudoir photography. Many photographers offer payment plans and you can book months out to make the payments lower and more manageable. Don’t be afraid to reach out and ask questions about this.
I get asked a lot about photo releases and posting photos on social media. Many people for various reasons would like to stay anonymous and that is perfectly ok. The photo above is a great example of an anonymous release. Make sure to check what the photo release policy is.
Make sure the photographer has a presence on both social media and their website. Do they have an about me page, photos of themself, even daily life photos and stories shows that they are vulnerable and someone you want to work with. After all of that, just reach out.
